Educate

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

After School Program

CLI’s after-school program humbly began as an independent program at Carver High School servicing the needs of South Memphis students. It is the catalyst that sparked the CLI’s massive expansion of youth-centric programs.

CLI provides transportation for Creative Life Preparatory students and students of neighboring schools including Memphis Scholars Florida-Kansas Elementary, Ida B. Wells Academy and Riverview School K-8.

Our after-school program provides care beyond school hours offering educational and recreational services for students, Kindergarten through grade 12, such as: Homework Assistance, Tutoring, Life and Social Skills Classes, Music, Dance, Drama, Sports, and more!

Summer Enrichment Camp

This enrichment program is designed to provide youth educational stimulus during the school break. For eight weeks during the summer, students are welcome to participate in fun, educational activities during the day and recreational activities during the evening. They are also provided two nutritious meals and a snack throughout the summer.

Our campers experience off-site fun during field trips such as visits to local museums and college tours. Students can also take advantage of ACT prep and three weeks of summer tutoring in Math and Reading from certified Title I tutors. Summer break at CLI culminates with our annual Back 2 School Bash, where students receive school supplies and enjoy FREE food, activities and games.

Early Childhood Training

Kiddie College is a comprehensive learning academy that provides educational enrichment for children six weeks through pre-K governed by the Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Department of Human Services. Our primary goal is to cultivate literacy skills so that our little ones are beginning to read by age three.

Kiddie College is also transitioning into a STEAM academy offering science, technology, engineering, art and math to our youngest students. Creative Life has partnered with the Urban Child Institute to focus on providing prevention, wellness and both educational and scientific research activities for both the child and parents. We offer informative classes to parents equipping them with the support and tools needed to nurture their children.

CLI also provides transportation to Kiddie College little ones who live within a four-mile radius of the school.

Preparatory School

CLPS, under the guidance of the Tennessee Department of Education, has served students grades Pre-K through 12 since opening its doors in 1996. The school’s mission is to provide students with comprehensive learning in smaller-sized classrooms and individualized learning. Our academic goal for 2019 is to transition into a STEAM academy, teaching integrated subjects in science, technology, education, art and math.
